A terrific way to dress-up your hardwood floor and add a bit of personality to it, is the inclusion, or add, of borders, insets, or inlays. A good start is to take a scale drawing of the space (or have us do it for you) and experiment with placement and colorations. Keep in mind that many of the exotic woods offer some pretty remarkable colorations like, medium yellow, regal purple and crimson red–to name a few—so designing something in natural woods vs. stained woods is infinitely possible.
